Brunner professor of Egyptology at the University of Liverpool 1934-1948 & Emeritus professor 1948-1956. Geoffrey Emmet Blackman FRS (1903-1980) Son of Vernon Herbert Blackman above. Sibthorpian professor of Rural Economy at Oxford University and world-renowned agronomist. George Blackman, later Sir George Harnage (1767-1836) #14672 In 1821 George Blackman assumed the the name Sir George Harnage upon inheriting the baronetcy of Belleswardine through his mother's line.
